Daniel Ubulom, Ph.D.
President/Chief Executive Officer
An accomplished Geoscientist, Petroleum Consultant, and Academic Researcher with 27 years of progressive experience in geophysical exploration, petrophysical interpretation, and oilfield development across the Niger Delta and deep Offshore terrains. Recognized for advancing reservoir evaluation techniques and producing impactful research in applied geology and sequence stratigraphy. Prior to becoming the President/CEO of ZIRCON GEO PET LTD, Dr. Ubulom has worked and consulted for multiple oil and gas operators, including DWC Group, Fairmont Petroleum Limited, Guarantee Petroleum, EOGAS Petroleum & Geosciences Ltd, Goland Petroleum Development Company Ltd and Petrolog Group. He demonstrates exceptional skill in oilfield development, reservoir characterization, hydrocarbon prospectivity evaluation, innovative Oilfield management, and multidisciplinary project leadership. He has a strong publication record, seasoned mentorship, and committed contributor to geoscience innovation in academia and industry.
As a Consulting Petrophysicist at Eogas Petroleum & Geosciences Ltd, he interpreted over 200 Oil & Gas Fields. His other previous experiences were as the Exploration Manager at Goland Petroleum Development Company Ltd. Dr. Ubulom started his career with ABNL Ltd as a Field Geologist and rose to managerial positions. He was among a team that was in charge of the construction of the 450,000BPD Ogbotobo Concrete Barge Mounted Flowstation for SPDC in 2001, which was the first in Nigeria. He also participated in the Construction of 90,000BPD Ovhor Concrete Barge Mounted for SPDC in the year 2003. He holds B. Sc. Geology (University of Calabar), M. Sc. Petroleum Geology/Exploration Geophysics (University of Port Harcourt) and a Ph.D. in Applied Geology (Obafemi Awolowo University), besides professional diplomas. He is an active member of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), Aberdeen Formation Evaluation Society, among others and has presented and published many technical papers.
